Summative Assessment

Interpretive reading task:Students read the debate assignment article, understand the background of Meimei (a person or character mentioned in the text), and prepare for the debate on whether Meimei should or should not engage in online dating.

Interpersonal task: Based on the content of the text and information students have found online, students engage in a debate with their classmates on whether Meimei (an older unmarried woman) should or should not engage in online dating. They present arguments to support their respective positions.

Presentational writing task: Students write the debate results into an argumentative essay and organize a summary of the different opinions from both the affirmative and negative sides.
